Calm Mg is a liquid food supplement based on magnesium. Calm Mg contributes to the mental well-being of the horse by optimizing magnesium levels in the body, and therefore stress and fear levels.

It provides horses with highly available sources of magnesium. It can be useful to young people who have difficulty coping with the first periods of competition. It may also be useful in adult horses who, due to low levels of magnesium in the body, may be more nervous and difficult to manage.

Participating in more than 300 different metabolic reactions, magnesium is a very important mineral in the field of nutrition (45). Energy production in cells, nucleic acid synthesis, muscle contraction and nerve conduction depend on the presence of magnesium. However, not all magnesium salts present in nature have the same bioavailability for the body. This is why Linea Unika has chosen three raw materials with very high magnesium bioavailability: magnesium citrate, magnesium aspartate and magnesium chloride. These salts are entirely soluble in water and therefore more easily absorbed by the body than poorly or insoluble salts, such as magnesium oxide. Magnesium is, in fact, absorbed in the small intestine and the colon: the effectiveness of its absorption therefore depends on the solubility of its salt in intestinal fluids.

DOSAGE:

Use 50 to 100 g of Calm Mg per day, well incorporated into the daily diet (a coffee cup contains approximately 70 g). The product has the consistency of a syrup and is very palatable for the horse. The recommended duration of use is a minimum of 30/40 consecutive days. It is advisable not to exceed the indicated daily dose of Calm Mg, as magnesium salts have a slight laxative effect.
